Smooth, easy collaboration is more important than ever in today’s workforce. Microsoft is currently rolling out an updated Teams meeting experience that brings several highly-requested features to organizations that use Teams. This new experience will enable users to have calls and conversations in separate Windows during Teams meetings. Microsoft said, “Multi-window experiences are coming to Teams meetings and calling. Users will have the ability to pop out meetings and calling into separate Windows to help them optimize their workflow. These experiences can be turned on directly within Teams for PC and Mac clients.”

Microsoft also said that the Teams update will allow the “pinning” of meeting controls, including video, mute, chat, and leave, among others to the top of your screen. Other new features include the “raise-hand” function, custom backgrounds and increasing the number of four screens to nine screens. Microsoft is gradually rolling these new features out to organizations around the world, and many have already started using them.

As more and more people are working remotely, Teams has seen a surge of users and it is likely that Microsoft Teams users will continue to grow. Teams users can take advantage of company-wide chats, and full integration with your business apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Planner, SharePoint and more).
